About Me
Growing up, my Mum (Bonnie) was a florist and as life has progressed, I have found myself increasingly drawn to the beauty that surrounds us in nature. Mum’s delight in the smallest of things was palpable. A hairy bumble bee on a perfectly formed flower; a dangerous but stunning, red and white speckled mushroom on the forest floor; the first tui of the season chatting away to us. Perhaps ‘For The Love Of Nature’ is another part of her that lives on in me.
I’m a natural organiser. After a career in business and later, working in my own HR consulting company for many years, it was time for something different. Through ‘For The Love Of Nature’, I am able to use my business skills and exercise my creative side and share this with others.
Fresh flowers are stunning, but can be expensive, short lived, and require maintenance to keep them looking beautiful. As I have experimented, I have found that dried and preserved flowers bring the best of nature into our homes and workspaces. Through this beautiful art we are able to enjoy flowers every day.
Outside of my love for nature, I enjoy being surrounded by my family, friends and Louis the dog, sipping from a beautiful glass of New Zealand Pinot Gris, accompanied by delicious finger foods. I also have penchant for beautiful shoes, and I am a lover of salt with a large salt collection from all over the world.
